Rooting Environmental Health in Community voice and Youth Leadership
The Youth Policy Council warmly invites you to join us on a journey of learning as we showcase our initiatives to foster healthier environments for the refugee and immigrant community. Our work centers on reducing exposure to household toxins through community education and sustainable policy change. We will address environmental hazards—such as lead, black plastics, pollution, arsenic in soil, and other toxins—that affect our daily lives and neighborhoods and share finding from community surveys and trainings. Our goal is to elevate refugee and immigrant voices in advocating for safe, healthy environments and to promote policies that ensure equity and minimize exposure to toxins.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their environmental health concerns and learn how to become involved in ongoing advocacy efforts.
