After-school Instructor
Jessie Kimes is a passionate educator who teaches English to Multilingual (ML) high school students. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Affairs from Eastern Washington University and a Master’s in Teaching from Saint Martin’s University. Jessie holds teaching endorsements in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Humanities, English Language Learners(ELL), and Special Education.
Her diverse background also includes roles as an Academic Advisor in area colleges as well as aCareer Coach in the healthcare industry, both of which enriched her approach to education.
Having instructed across elementary, middle, and high school levels, Jessie’s teachingphilosophy extends beyond language acquisition. Drawing from her previous job experiences,she focuses on helping ML students develop strong language skills while emphasizing theimportance of education for future success. In her inclusive classroom, Jessie combinesinnovative strategies with a global perspective, inspiring students to become lifelong learnersand engaged citizens. By connecting current education to future opportunities, she empowersmultilingual learners to envision and work towards successful, fulfilling futures.
