Shahrine Islam

After-school Instructor

Shahrine Islam was born in Bangladesh and raised in Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University before moving to Washington. Over the past ten years, Shahrine has worked in various educational roles across different schools and supplementary education programs. She has taught hundreds of children as a STEM Instructor, helped many young tribal members pursue their GEDs, and tutored students both in-home and virtually, as well as in schools.

She has also served as an all-subjects Teaching Assistant at a K-8 charter school and as a 7th-grade English Teacher, giving her a broad range of experience working with students of all agesand in a variety of subjects.

Shahrine is committed to providing high-quality education to every student she serves. She is skilled at identifying students’ needs and creating a supportive, respectful environment in which they can thrive.
