Jawad Ramyar is a proud native of Herat, Afghanistan, where he spent his childhood and early years.
Jawad’s true passion lies in addressing social issues, and he has extensive experience working with Afghan and Iranian communities in the United States. As a newcomer to this country, he brings a unique perspective and a fresh enthusiasm for positively impacting the lives of refugees and immigrants.

Jawad has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Herat University, Afghanistan, and professionaltraining in research methods and data collection from Isfahan University, Iran. He also hasMental Health First Aid training from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and has ledmental health workshops for Afghan refugees. Jawad enjoys advocacy and has helped manyrefugees with employment and housing needs. Jawad is fluent in Farsi/Dari and is familiar withthe Pashto language.
